How-To Tips - Screen Shots

A Tip on Screen Shots: In order to take a screen shot, or make a picture file of what appears on your screen.

1. Hold the CTRL key while you then hit the PrtScn button
It's saved into the copy buffer.

2. Just open a Paint Program (Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Paint) and click Edit -> Paste. Then, save the file anywhere you want.

Or open Word, Powerpoint, whatever and Edit -> Paste it.
This can be VERY helpful when you have a situation, an alert message or something that you want someone else to see. Take a shot, save it, email it. Life is already better.

Very useful for taking pictures of your flyer
to send to the editor of this blog, too.

Q: How do I use this site?
A: Use the column to the right to get around. Clubs are listed by City first, then club name. There are other useful topics as well.

Q: Why aren't there more clubs listed in the state?
A: Information about this venue is not getting to the volunteers in the individual clubs. They just don't know it exists. And, if they did, they would also discover that they could do their own updates.

Q: If I am a club officer how do I get my information posted?

NEW DANCERS
The 50th Wisconsin State Square Dance is coming up fast. There is just enough time for people to run a class of students through Mainstream and have them ready to dance in August. Up north here (Wausau) we're combining forces with three clubs to have a decent class. I believe we have almost two squares registered so far, but the first class is next week, and you know you can't count people until they walk through the door...

REGISTRATIONS
The registration committee tells me (secretly) that registrations are coming along nicely for the convention. Still - we've got a long way to go. As far as parties go, this one should be a good one. I just have this feeling. If you haven't registered yet for the convention, what are you waiting for? HOUSING
There is plenty of housing still available, but the good seats are already taken. Here is the list of available hotels and rates: http://www.wisquaredanceconvention.org/housing.htm

One comment about the Lodge at Cedar Creek Mall. Yeah, we've got rooms listed there at $309 per night. These rooms are huge, three bedroom suites with common areas. If you like to travel in groups, and you want to share the experience with friends, I recommend you check these out. If they weren't worth it, we wouldn't have them.

AFTER-PARTY
The Friday night after-party hosted by Chit-Chat is going to be a ball this year. I should know - I'm hosting. See you there.
